^5 (A)Baldness has come upon Gaza;
^(B)Ashkelon has been ruined.
O remnant of their valley,
How long will you ^(C)gash yourself?
⁶ Ah, ^(D)sword of Yahweh,
How long will you not be quiet?
Withdraw into your sheath;
^[a]Be at rest and stay still.
⁷ How can ^[b]it be quiet?
Yahweh has ^(E)given it a command;
Against Ashkelon and against the seacoast—
There He has ^(F)assigned it.”
